Hello. I am very excited to start my third year at Goodrell and my eighth year with DMPS. Here is a little information about me:
I have a B.A. in International Communication from Arizona State University, an M.S. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Florida International University, and an Endorsement as an Instructional Strategist I from Morningside College.
Many of my other exciting jobs have included being an assistant to a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons in London, a secretary at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, an Au Pair in Boston, a director of the Baby Club at Club Med in Mexico, a Fulbright recruiter in Cyprus, a human resources assistant on the SS Independence cruise ship in Hawaii, a camp director on Ansbach Army base in Germany, an English teacher for Arab pilots on Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, a Special Education teacher in Iowa, and an ELL teacher in both Washington, DC, and Japan.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa. I spent most of my twenties backpacking around the world, visiting over fifty countries. I have been married for the past fourteen years to a man who works as a Special Agent with the FBI. We have four young boys and a cat.
My favorite quote is: “If you don’t like where you are, move. You are not a tree.”
