Community Partnerships
DMPS and Goodrell Middle School have many community partnerships in the area of sports and activities and this is where you can find which partnerships our students can utilize!
The biggest partnership for sports that we are hoping to utilize more is through Des Moines Parks and Recreation. They have a scholarship program (for those who qualify) where students can play a sport for only $5.
An added bonus to the Parks and Rec program is that if we get enough Goodrell students to sign up, we can have our own Goodrell team for that sport. For example, if we have enough 6th graders to sign up for basketball, we could have a Goodrell team in the Parks and Rec league and the team could even hold practice at Goodrell.
